Today’s living room has a sound system typically comprised of a soundbar, maybe a subwoofer. If movie night is important, the average living room might even have a 5.1 surround sound system with sound towers on either side of the television, a center channel in front of the television, two satellite speakers behind the couch, and a subwoofer.
We took that entire setup taking up half your living room, and built it all into a single armchair. And it’s invisible.

We debuted this armchair at CES 2022, where attendees could come up to our booth and take a seat. Once they did, they immediately found themselves immersed in a concert with Platinum recording rock band Fall Out Boy with sound completely enveloping you in the clearest highs and the deepest lows from an invisible 7-speaker system built into the chair itself. Throughout the demo, Fall Out Boy lead singer and Resonado investor Patrick Stump pointed out details in the soundtrack that are typically impossible to discern in conventional speakers.
We also let attendees watch and experience movie trailers where the armchair serves as a personal movie theater with immersive surround sound and a powerful subwoofer to not only hear the movie, but feel the movie.
Here’s how we did it.
Our engineering team designed a 7-speaker sound system comprised of 2 NW7s, 2 NF3s, 2 Tweeters, and 1 NS11.
THE FUTURE IS RACETRACK.
Conventional circular speakers have been around for a century - hence the shape of the volume icon. We designed a proprietary motor architecture that enables ultra high performance racetrack drivers, also known as oval or elliptical drivers. These drivers are all engineered with this architecture - Resonado Labs’ proprietary Flat Core Speaker™ (FCS™) technology.
The NF3 is a 3” 10 Watt full range driver designed to fit anywhere to provide a larger sound stage for a more immersive experience.
The NW7 is a 7” 40 Watt woofer driver designed to provide a rich acoustic experience from spaces with limited spatial volume.
The NS11 is an 11” 125 Watt subwoofer designed to round out a sound system with a powerful low frequency response to provide the deep bass that defines a cinematic experience.
