This page details the collaboration between Hyundai Motor Group and Resonado Labs for Hyundai’s 2021 Open Innovation Lounge, an event that works with top international startups. The event is designed to foster innovation and create agile paths for integration of innovative technologies into their vehicles.

In response to the rising popularity of off-road activities, Resonado Labs designed a concept liftgate sound system tailored to this outdoor lifestyle for the popular Hyundai Palisade SUV.

For example, the dynamic design of our motorized enclosure embodies the relationship between form and function. This motor adds an experiential wow factor and optimizes targeted acoustic dispersion. We constantly worked on this concept from the position of the listener, and that helped us tailor the design around a wholly immersive and enjoyable user experience.”

The system is powered by Res-Core technology, including 2 Neo Mid 5 Drivers, 2 Neo Full-range Drivers, and 1 Neo Subwoofer.

DYNAMIC SOUND

The liftgate speaker system features dynamic motorized enclosures for the Neo Mid 5 drivers that targets sound at listeners.

Together, they provide an independent system perfect for outdoor activities like overlanding with highs that ring clear and rich lows, and can be activated when on the road to intensify the interior system.
